England and Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard has declared that he was scared Striker Luiz Suarez would leave Anfield in the Last Transfer Window.

The Uruguayan international returned from a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic in the Capital One Cup defeat to rivals Manchester United before scoring twice in Sunday's 3-1 win over Sunderland in the Premier League.

But it looked as though the striker would be leaving the club during the transfer window, with Real Madrid linked with him before Arsenal put in an offer of £40m and one pound in the hope of triggering a release clause.
Suarez remained at Liverpool, though, and Gerrard admits he is delighted by his team-mate's decision to stay, as well as his positive attitude since committing to Brendan Rodgers' side.
"When you have a player as good as Luis Suarez, you know that the big clubs are going to want him," said Gerrard.
"He is a special type

This year alone, the Nigerian state recorded at least 1,000 cases of the disease resulting in the high number of deaths, the local Peoples Daily Newspaper said, citing Sufyan Babale, Executive Secretary of the Kaduna Primary Health Care Agency.
"I visited the area personally and saw fresh graves of over 30 children that died in Lere local government area alone," Babale says.
The healthcare official says more cases reported in other local government areas have been put under control by the government.
"There are states that are selected for this year's campaign on implementation of measles (immunization) in the country of which Kaduna State is one of them. So, we are going to do that to educate our people on the disease," he adds.
The measles immunization program will run between Oct. 5 and Oct. 9 across the northern state.
Six months ago, federal health authorities in Abuja made moves to combat the contagious viral disease that had infected no fewer than 4000 children in the northern part of Nigeria as of March.

Have you ever wondered how our celebrities just turned white over night. The list is endless. Bleaching is definitely not a new thing. We can authoritatively reveal to you the secret behind these celebs new look.
The new bleaching technique is in form of Injection/ Pill. You inject into the blood-stream and then take some pills. Interesting, this injection used for skin lightening, is part of the treatment for HIV and Cancer patients. The injection/pill gives a much brighter, even toned complexion when taken regularly.
Glutathione is a very good anti-oxidant and very effective whitening if you will take it on a greater dosage. It is an anti-oxidant that cleans the liver, takes off free-radicals and helps the brain too. It is safe for everyone. It is given to cancer and HIV patients and in other diseases where glutathione is depleted.
In HIV, glutathione levels are low and this contributes to immune deficiency as the lymphocytes need normal levels of glutathione to function properly. Glutathione is produced by the body and with age, the levels fall. Low levels or the Lack of glutathione leads to liver failure. It also leads to immune system failure and cells die from oxidative stress.
It was discovered that patients on high dose Glutathione therapy had significant skin lightening as a side effect. Now this has become a fast growing treatment for cosmetic purposes. Injectable Glutathione has become more popular than tablets and are given intravenously 2 – 3 times a week for about 6 months. The digestive tract is bypassed and the maximum concentration reaches the target cells. Results are more dramatic in lighter skinned individuals and it is common to augment results with chemical peels. Glutathione is also known for its anti-aging benefits.
Glutathione acts to lighten skin by inhibiting Tyrosinase the enzyme responsible for the production of the pigment Melanin without destroying the pigment producing cells known as Melanocytes.
The most advisable dosage is 10-20mg/kg BodyWeight. To use glutathione as an anti-oxidant and for whitening it has to be 20-40mg/kg/BW. Example: 50kg x 20mg = 1000mg. You have to take it with Vitamin C in ascorbic acid form to be able to maximize its whitening effect.
It is 100 percent proven that it really works to whiten skin. For most people, the first 3 months use of gluta is crucial for it is the time where gluta is building the foundation (body chemistry re-alignment) and once built this is only the start for its whitening process. The lightening of skin is gradual (speed is depending on your metabolism and body chemical functioning) this is where you will notice that your skin is shinier and healthier than before. After this process, you will notice that your shade is lighter than before. Glutha whitens the skin by reducing the melanin formation of the epidermis going up to the dermis
There are definitely no side-effects of using gluta, you know why? Because its ability to whiten your skin is already its side-effect. There is also no harm in its prolonged use. Its advisable to take gluta with meal and never take it with liquor or any alcoholic drink.
While taking this, you wont really become sensitive but you have to at least put sunblock lotion or cream to exposed parts of your body and your face.
The active ingredient, Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that naturally occurs in the body and is capable of protecting the skin as well as the cornea, lens and retina of the eye against radiation damage.
However, the use of glutathione in high doses for cosmetic purposes is a non-regulated procedure which could be fatal if not properly used. Glutathione is a drug and must be administered by a doctor or registered nurse. Side effects include nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, liver failure and death.
The quest for lighter skin could cost you your life. This unregulated use of high dose glutathione is relatively new and time will tell what side effects may occur in the long term.

The findings further show that the increased revenues expected to be generated in the transitional electricity market by the new investors would be driven by improved output and efficient service
Analysts say the envisaged electricity revenues have the potential to dwarf revenues and profitability of the earlier deregulated telecommunications industry, making the power sector a goldmine for investors.

There are indications that the Federal Government may seek the intervention of past Presidents/Heads of States, Governors, traditional rulers and serving Senators to mediate in its current face-off with the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

The supervisory Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike, said this on Wednesday in Abuja during a palliative meeting with the President of Nigeria Union of Teachers, Michael Olukoya; and Minister of Labour and Productivity, Emeka Wogu.
Olukoya had suggested that following the inability of the committees earlier set up to settle the crisis, the Federal Government should seek the intervention of past presidents, governors, traditional rulers and serving senators.
He also said that the  NUT still stood by its threat to solidarise with ASUU over the university teachers’ demands  unless directed otherwise by the union’s National Executive Council.
Olukoya said, “With the way this strike has lingered on for three months, we believe government should explore all modalities to end it. Government should invite past heads of states, speakers, senators, Ministers of Labour and Education and every other stakeholder in the sector to resolve this ugly situation.

photo President Goodluck Jonathan shocked Nigerians on Sunday when he declared that he did not know if the leader of the dreaded sect, Boko Haram, Abubakar Shekau, was dead or alive.
The Joint Task Force, JTF, in Borno State, had said in a statement August 19 that Mr. Shekau might have died of gunshot wounds he received in an encounter with Force’s troops in one of their camps at Sambisa Forest on June 30.
However, Mr. Shekau appeared in a new video last week, claiming that he was not dead.
He also claimed responsibility for the attacks that killed several civilians on September 17 in Benishek, Borno State.
Bokoharam gunmen have launched a vicious attack on the College of Agriculture in Yobe state, killing 40 students.
Details of the attack are still sketchy but the provost of the college, Mulima Mata, confirmed the incident, which the News Agency of Nigeria said occurred early Sunday morning.
The Yobe state command of the Nigeria police could however not be reached to confirm the incident.
Residents believe the attack has the imprimatur of the extremist Boko Haram sect which has in the past three years slaughtered thousands of innocent Nigerians in attacks on schools, places of worship, media establishments and security installations.
The corpses of the students have been deposited at the General Sanni Abacha Specialist Hospital and more are still been expected at press time.
The Nation learnt that the students were shot in their hostels and classrooms while fleeing from the attackers.
