Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has decided to try and settle the problems between the Nigeria Football Federation and the Super Eagles.
The President had talked to the Minister of Sports, Tamuno Danagogo, who gave him the full details of the problem.
And Jonathan had also requested a private sit down with the coach of the national team, Stephen Keshi, who had said he will like to quit.
Sources have said that theproblem between the players and the NFFwas the continual unpayment of salaries and bonuses.
This same issue occurred in AFCON 2013 and FIFA confederation club last year when the Eagles decided not to fly until they got their money.
The NFF also ignored the same issue that it almost can be said that was the reason the Eagles did not win France as they refused to train until given their bonuses.
Keshi also cried out on the way he was treated by the NFF,who always tried to give him a foreign coach and fired three of his assistants after he won the AFCON title.
South Africa national team have for two years now been monitoring Keshi's situation and have offered him a contract with seven times more pay than he gets in the Eagles job.
The NFF also countered and offered keshi a 7 million Naira per month salarybut it seems the former Nigerian captain will head to the South.
NFF considers Ex-Eagles Coach Shuaibu Amodu As Keshi's Replacement.
Meanwhile world football governing body, FIFA has told Nigeria it has till July 8th to put back ousted president of the NFF, Aminu Maigari.
FIFA has always warned against foreign intervention in football, and in a strong worded letter they asked the NFF to relay the message to relevant authorities and inform them that FIFA are ready to suspend the NFF if they don't reinstate maigari by Tuesday 8 July 2014.
Maigari was arrested by security officials on his way back from Brazil after a Plateau High Court sitting in Jos granted an Order of Interlocutory Injunction restrained him and the Executive Committee members, as well as the NFF Congress from running affairs of Nigerian football forthwith pending the determination of a Motion on Notice before the court.
