Speaking at his first press conference, Guus said: “I am excited to return to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea is one of the biggest clubs in the world but is not where it should be at the moment. However, I am sure we can all turn this season around.
“I am looking forward to working with the players and staff at this great club and especially renewing my wonderful relationship with the Chelsea fans.”
Hiddink Replaces Mourinho At Chelsea
Hiddink is presently at Stamford Bridge for today’s match as Chelsea welcome Sunderland.
However, Steve Holland, will take control of team matters for the game alongside Eddie Newton, who will now take on the role of assistant first-team coach.

Hiddink is making a return to London success after his first spell with the club in 2009 saw him lift the FA Cup with the team.
Hiddink took temporary charge of Chelsea in February 2009, losing just one league game as Chelsea recovered from a poor first half of the season to finish third in the Premier League, guaranteeing Champions League football for the next campaign and signed off in style thanks to a 2-1 FA Cup win over Everton at Wembley.

His sack came just seven months after leading the London team to a Barclays Premier League title last season.

inhabitants of the Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State have accused a UK-based man, Segun Obembe, of being one of numerous impostors selling off the community’s land by posing as agents of the community.
Lekki Free Trade Zone
In interviews with a correspondent of SaharaReporters, some of the inhabitants alleged that Mr. Obembe was hosting seminars in London where he advertised the land to unsuspecting buyers. They added that the impostors, including Mr. Obembe, were causing more strife for the residents who daily witness the influx of strangers into the area. “Many of these strangers have bought land here from scam artists posing as agents of the community,” said one of the residents.
The Ibeju-Lekki community has been embroiled in sometimes-violent disputes between buyers and the inhabitants. At one turn, the crisis claimed the life of Tajudeen Disu, boss of the Lekki Free Zone, a state agency that oversees the development of the contested land. Some buyers have claimed that they bought land in the area from the Lekki Free Zone, but the inhabitants have insisted that they have no relationship or agreement with the company.
As the dispute lingers, some clients of the Lekki Free Zone Company, including Africa’s richest person, Aliko Dangote, have used the military on several occasions to assault the inhabitants, often forcing them to surrender their farmlands. A source in the community accused billionaire Dangote of hiring soldiers to guard and patrol a disputed area allocated to him for building his petrochemical plant.
Some residents accused the Lekki Free Zone Company of empowering a group of people parading themselves as owners of the land in order to validate land deals. “They give them [the impostors] gifts of cars and cash, but they have failed to obtain genuine rights from the inhabitants. Many prospective developers who purchased land from the Lekki Free Zone Ltd have clashed with the inhabitants who resisted attempts to clear the farmlands for other purposes.
Mr. Disu, chairman of the Lekki Free Zone, was killed during one recent clash.
Despite ongoing court cases over the disputed land, Mr. Dangote and other wealthy buyers have continued construction on the land, using policemen and soldiers to scare off residents.
Inhabitants told SaharaReporters that, in addition to ongoing feuds with the Lekki Free Zone Ltd, they now have to contend with impostors like Mr. Obembe who mislead unsuspecting buyers into making land deals.
Inhabitants said they recently obtained a copy of Mr. Obembe’s flyer seeking buyers for land in Ibeju-Lekki. They said they had confronted representatives of the Lekki Free Zone Ltd, adding that the company denied any affiliation with Mr. Obembe. “In fact, the Lekki Free Zone Ltd lawyer, Mr. Tayo, told us that the company had also been looking for the person called Segun Obembe for allegedly impersonating the company,” one resident told our correspondent.
“We see different people everyday, claiming to have paid for our land. And they always come prepared to clear our farmlands without any known approval,” a traditional chief of the Idasho community told our correspondent.

“We are calling on members of the public to be wary of phony agents claiming to have rights to sell out land,” said Mr. Adedotun, secretary of the community. He added, “We don't know Segun Obembe and other impostors.”
Governors of Nigeria’s 19 Northern States on Saturday in Kaduna endorsed the actions of Kaduna State, the location of last weekend’s violence involving Nigeria's Shiites.
In a communique issued at the end of a meeting, the governors stressed that all Nigerians should respect the law and constituted authority, adding that organization, whether religious or social, must operate within the law.
Offering condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in the Zaria tragedy, and wishing the wounded speedy recovery, they endorsed all the steps taken so far by the government of Kaduna State to contain the situation.
They also expressed support for the decision of the Governor of Kaduna to constitute a Judicial Commission of Inquiry to examine the remote and immediate causes of the Zaria incident, and commended him for it.
The governors reassured citizens of their readiness to maintain law and order while respecting the constitutional rights of citizens to practice their faith without infringing on the rights of others.
They however frowned on arbitrary blockage of highways by unauthorized processions which inconvenience others, and resolved that processions must henceforth have police permit and protection as prescribed by the law.
The governors reaffirmed their commitment to take measures to revive and grow the economies of Northern States to create jobs and other opportunities, adding that efforts are already in top gear to review agriculture and industries related to agriculture.
The called on all Nigerians, irrespective of differences in political affiliations, religious persuasions, sectional or ethnic backgrounds, to coalesce into a single unit and collectively fight the nation’s common tragedies of poverty, destitution and illiteracy.

“The problems confronting us go beyond politics,” they said.  “We should unite to confront our common challenges.”
Encouraging citizens to report suspicious and concerns to constituted authority, the governors appealed to the media to exercise restraint and decorum, and to avoid inflaming passions or stoking the embers of division and intolerance.

on Friday, at least 79 "enemies" and 8 soldiers were killed during the bloodiest day of unrest in months in Burundi according to the Agence France-Presse (AFP).
Scenes Of Violence In Burundi
The fighting left the capital, Bujumbura, pockmarked with bullet holes and strewn with bodies.
The fighting started when unidentified gunmen attacked three military installations. The offensive earned a severe response from the Burundian security services. The violence is the worst the East African nation has witnessed since the unrest began after President Pierre Nkurunziza’s illegal bid for a third term in May.
Eyewitnesses told the AFP that Burundian soldiers were seen dragging random young men from their homes, in supposed opposition strongholds throughout Bujumbura, and then executing the men on the spot.
In a statement after the clashes, army spokesman Colonel Gaspard Baratuza said that only “enemies” of the Burundian state and soldiers were killed in the clashes. However, many residents of Bujumbura believe the security services committed extrajudicial killings.
These residents informed AFP that several bodies had their arms tied behind their back, and were apparently killed with a single shot through the skull.
Despite the number of bodies in the streets, and evidence that the army may have engaged in mass executions supporters of the government exuberantly held marches in Bujumbura on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the security services were busy disposing of as many bodies as possible. The military claimed they were merely removing the bodies to avoid the spread of disease. However, several residents believe that the army was attempting to cover up the evidence of a massacre.
At the request of France the United Nations (UN) Security Council met on Friday to discuss the most recent outbreak of violence in Burundi. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon called upon all parties involved to hold back from further violence.
Samantha Power, the American ambassador to the UN, warned that the Security Council was prepared to “consider additional measures” against powerbrokers in Burundi.

Prior to the most recent attacks, roughly 240 people were believed to have been killed due to the political violence wracking Burundi.
On Friday night, the Federal Government (FG) released a circular calling upon all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to remit 80% of their operational surpluses to the Consolidated Revenue Fund account, according to Punch Newspaper.
Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun
The order allegedly originated from the office of the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun. The order also called upon all MDAs to reduce operating costs as much as possible, in keeping with President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to reduce wasteful government expenditures.
Minister Adeosun also noted the very poor performance, thus far, of compliance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act by MDAs. She warned all Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers of MRDs that any failure to remit the required amount of funds to the Consolidated Revenue Fund would result in their immediate sanction.
In addition, all future reviews of Accounting Officers and Chief Executive Officers would take into account their compliance with the Fiscal Responsibility Act when contemplating the renewal of their tenures.
“All revenue gathering agencies must comply with the circular and cut their costs,” Mrs. Adeosun’s statement read in part.

In order to ensure compliance with her directives, the Minister of Finance announced that every MDA was now required to submit monthly Expenditure Transcripts and Revenue Returns to the office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
