Owners of a Galaxy S III smartphone on the network of wireless carrier C Spire are in for a treat today, as their operator has started to deliver the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean upgrade to them. Furthermore, the software arrives on devices bundled with the Premium Suite update that has already landed on Galaxy S III units elsewhere. In addition to the various performance improvements that theJelly Bean operating system will provide to users, the update will also bring along a Multi Window feature, thus enabling improved multitasking capabilities on the handset. Courtesy of this functionality, owners of Samsung's smartphonewillbe able to open two different apps at the same time, into two differentwindows on the screen of their phones. Also, the new firmware offers new functionality such as Page Buddy, Contextual Menu and Contextual Tag, as well as a series of other enhancements, including Auto Share Shot Pairing using NFC, Reader Mode, and Facebook Lock Ticker. The release notes for the new OS upgrade show the following: - Page Buddy: Your phonewill smartly predict what you intend to do according to your actions. For example, when you plug in your earphones, the device automatically opens up a page with the music player. - Contextual Menu: When you list upapps, you can now choose to see themost frequently used ones first. Especially convenient when you’relooking through apps to findfiles to attach. - Contextual Tag: When you take a picture on the phone, you can tag the weather, date, and place immediately. - Auto Share Shot Pairing using NFC: By setting the camera to ‘Auto Share Shot’ mode, you can quickly share your photos and videos by simply tapping their GALAXY S III with other NFC and S-Beam enabled devices - Reader Mode: You can easily control the size of the text on your browser!
