Mikel, Onazi lose as Olaitan scores

Chelsea and Nigerian midfielder, Mikel Obi, was on for his club for the whole 90 minutes as his side fell 2-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the fifth round of the English FA Cup on Saturday.
But it was a good weekend for striker Michael Olaitan who was on target for his club, Olympiacos, in their 4-2 win over Plantanias in the Greek Premier League also on Saturday. Olaitan, who played for 73 minutes, scored in the first half of the match to set the stage for his club’s winning journey. They remain at the top of the league with 71 points after 25 matches.
He has eight goals in 15 matches for the club so far. Olympiacos will face Manchester United on February 25, in the UEFA Champions League.
In Italy Obinna Nsofor was a 78th minute substitute as Chievo Verona lost 3-1 to Juventus in the Italian Serie A. Ogenyi Onazi was also on the losing side as Lazio suffered their first defeat in six matches and first under new coach, Edy Reja. He was an unused substitute and watched as they lost 3-1 away at bottom placed Catania.
Efe Ambrose played the whole 90 minutes as Celtic thrashed St Johnstone 3-0 in the Scottish Premier League. Anthony Stoke got the three goals for the league leaders.
Michael Eneramo scored as Trabzonspor held his team, Karabukspor, to a 2-2 draw at home. Eneramo got the second goal for his team in the 54th minute before Gural of Trabzonspor grabbed a point for the visitors in the 87th minute.
In Spain, Super Eagles new invitee, Ramon Azeez, was in action for 69 minutes as his club, UD Almeria, lost 1-0 at Levante. Elderson Echiejile was unlisted for AS Monaco as his club defeated SC Bastia.
Keneth Omeruo was also an unused substitute as Middlesborough lost 1-0 at Watford. The defender has only played a match since his loan move from Chelsea. Sunday Mba was substituted in the 87th minute as CA Bastia lost 3-0 at Dijon in the French Ligue 2.
Ike Uche was also not listed for Villereal as they lost 2-0 at home to Celta Vigo. He is recuperating from his injury. Hapoel Haifa held Juwon Oshaniwa’s AS Ashdod to a 1-1 draw. The Nigerian saw no action as he was unlisted for the game.
