CAR SCANDAL: House Of Reps Receives Report Of The Committee On Aviation

The House of Representatives has received the report of the House Committee on Aviation on thecontroversial purchase of two armoured cars by the Nigerian Minister of Aviation, StellaOduah.Oduah, who appeared before the House with other officials of the NCAA connected with the scandalous procurement, dismissed the allegations that the cars were purchased for her.She insisted that the procurement was captured in the 2013 budget as approved by the National Assembly and that she only gave conditional approval for it.The Minister of Finance,Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala,also appeared before the House. She said her Ministry did not grant a waiver to Coscharis Motors Nigeria Limited for the purchase of the controversial BMWs allegedly imported by the NCAA. More details later..
