Keshi To Defend World Cup Provisional List On Tuesday

Super Eagles head coach, Stephen Keshi will finally appear on Tuesday before the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to introduce the highly-awaited list of 35-man provisional list for the 2014 World Cup squad.
The list has already been in the center of media coverage for weeks, with both the technical committee and the coach appearing to have collision on the choice of players.
Chairman of the technical committee, Chris Green has recently stated:
"While we believe that only players that are playing well for their clubs should be invited because the World Cup is not a tea party, our job is a simple task. Keshi has the overall decision on who goes to Brazil and fits into his World Cup plan."
Meanwhile one of the committe members, who pleaded anonymity, told Leadership that they would not allow Keshi to name any of his misfire CHAN player for Brazil's World Cup.
According to him, the committee will ensure that "the players the coach will invite for the World Cup merit the invitation".
It would be recalled that the renowned Nigerian coach had previously mentioned that he may give opportunity to some of the boys that distinguished themselves in the South Africa's tournament to fight for place in his World Cup squad.
As for the current attitude towards Keshi, the indications have recently emerged that the NFF may sack the coach after 2014 Brazil because of him neglecting their advice and assistance ahead of the tournament. ahead of the
