Just as Shakira became a singing gazelle for Disney’s Zootopia, Sia is now being transformed into an animated member of the animal kingdom -- complete with her signature wig.
The “Cheap Thrills” singer has joined the voice cast of My Little Pony: The Movie as Songbird Serenade, a “pony pop star” whose mane is modeled after Sia’s go-to headpiece: a black-and-white wig topped with a giant bow.

This marks Sia’s first official foray into acting, though she’s been flirting with big-screen projects for a while. She recently contributed the song “Unforgettable” for Finding Dory, wrote Rihanna’s “Sledgehammer” forStar Trek Beyond, and teamed up with Diplo for “Waving Goodbye” fromNeon Demon. She’ll also contribute two new original songs for the My Little Pony: The Movie soundtrack.
My Little Pony: The Movie hits theaters Oct. 6, 2017, and features a star-studded voice cast, including Uzo Aduba, Emily Blunt, Kristen Chenoweth, Taye Diggs, Michael Pena, and Live Schrieber.
