The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State has condemned Governor Ayodele Fayose for criticizing former President Olusegun Obasanjo for not obeying a court order on his book publication.
Speaking on the matter through a statement made available to the media at the weekend, the Publicity Secretary of APC in Ekiti State, Taiwo Olatunbosun, stated that Fayose was not qualified to criticise the ex-president on behalf of Ekiti people.

The opposition party in Ekiti State said the frosty relationship between Fayose and the former Head of State was a personal issue and should not be expanded to be an Ekiti affait
Commenting on Fayose’s condemnation of a recent visit of five PDP governors to Obasanjo at his Abeokuta home, the APC said Fayose was not qualified to speak on behalf of Ekiti people in a clearly political squabble by the PDP gladiators.
According to the APC spokesman,  Fayose and his aides should not turn PDP’s internal affairs into the state affairs, as that would be a misrepresentation of the good people of Ekiti State.
He said: “If we agree without conceding that he is an Attorney-General, he is at best a busy body in the matter between Obasanjo and Buruji Kashamu concerning the launching of his book
“What is the business of a state government in a matter between Obasanjo and Kashamu that warranted issuing a statement on behalf of the entire citizens of a state?

It would be recalled that Fayose was impeached as the  Governor of Ekiti state in 2006 during Obasanjo’s administration.
Fayose had last week launched a scathing attack on Obasanjo for his criticism of President Goodluck Jonathan.
Speaking at the Yoruba Progress Summit, held at the Oduduwa Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Osun State, the governor alleged that the former president shared a huge amount of money to people during his attempt to amend the constitution for him to go for a third term as the president of Nigeria.
