Chadian Government Had Nothing To Do With Boko Haram – Ambassador To BBOG

Issa Brahim, the Chadian ambassador to Nigeria,
during the protest of the BringBackOurGirls activists
told the group to count his country out of the
abduction of over 200 Chibok schoolgirls and the
insecurity currently hitting Nigeria as the Chadian
government had no links to any of these issues.
According to the ambassador, if there was any person
that should be held responsible for these problems, it
should be the government of Nigeria which had
frequently claimed to know where schoolgirls are kept.

When the Issa Brahim was asked on the supposed
report of the failed ceasefire agreement, which was
celebrated across the country and handled by the
Chadian President, Idriss Déby, the ambassador noted
that he only read about these allegations in the pages of
newspapers just like other persons.
Meanwhile Brahim stated that the Chadian government
had nothing to do with Boko Haram as the country
was part of the France meeting and another meeting
held in Nigeria and other parts of Africa, where the
solution on how to tackle Boko Haram were agreed up
on.
The group, however, accused the ambassador, to
forward their unanswered questions back to his president
as the group will not relent until the girls are saved and
peace returned to Nigeria.
Last week, the planned protest of the
#BringBackOurGirlsgroup to the Chadian Embassy
was scuttled by the officials of the embassy, who said
they had security a meeting to attend to and, hence,
cannot find time to meet with the group.

Yesterday, the group was given a hostile reception from
one Dr Mohammed, who claimed to be the deputy
ambassador.
The BBOG was concerned about why the government
of Chad has always been fingered in negative aspect in
the fight against the Boko Haram insurgency.
There were unconfirmed reports in the past that tagged
the Chadian government as a main supplier of arms to
Boko Haram.
Chadian president was connected with what turned out
to be a fake, multi-million dollars peace talks with a
man, Danlami Ahmadu, who presented Boko Haram
during October 2014 negotiations and reportedly spoke
on behalf of sect’s leader, Abubakar Shekau.
