Crisis is brewing in the Lagos state chapter of the All
Progressive Congress (APC) as the national leader of
the party and former governor of the state, Asiwaju
Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently at loggerheads with
Governor Babatunde Fashola over disagreements on
who should be the latter’s successor. Guardian
reports.
Observers say the battle-line has been drawn between
both personalities and this may affect the party’s chances
at the gubernatorial polls in the state next year.
Fashola is reportedly eager to flex his political muscles
as he wants to have a say in who emerges as his
successor.
It will be recalled that the Lagos state chapter of the
APC, yesterday, cleared 12 candidates for its
governorship primaries scheduled for tomorrow.
