NNPC Disowns Fake Facebook Account for Its GMD

The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum
Corporation, NNPC, on Wednesday distanced
Joseph Dawha, its Group Managing Director, from
the running and ownership of a Facebook account
opened in his name by some persons it described as
“nondescript scam artistes.”
The NNPC in a statement said that the bogus
Facebook account which bears a concocted version of
Dawha’s profile is designed to hoodwink unsuspecting
users of Facebook with a view to defrauding them.
The statement advised members of the public “to
disregard any such account stating that the GMD has
no Facebook account.”
