FG Never Absolve Itself From Boko Haram - Sheikh Mahmoud

“Nigerian Federal Government is a real Boko
Haram,” Sheikh Muhammad Mahmoud Turi claims.
The leader of El-Zakzaky Muslim Sect in Kano
harshly criticised the current government actions during
his meeting with journalists at NUJ Press Centre on
Thursday, 4 December. He denunciated the Federal
Government for collaborating with Boko Haram and
direct assistance in organizing chaos that is happening all
over the country.

Trying to substantiate his guesswork Sheikh Mahmoud
stressed out that the coordinated operation of the sect in
the North is a vivid indicator of the government’s
involvement in the sect activities. He declared that there
is no way the Federal Government can absolve itself
from the terrorism and it is fully responsible for the
present day situation in the country.
I cannot agree with the vice president or any other
person who made such a presentation that the
government can be exonerated from the activities of
Boko Haram. Nobody anywhere in Nigeria can agree
to that—except if that person is either afraid or he is a
politician. You can never exonerate or separate the
government from Boko Haram,” he stated.
According to Sheikh Mahmoud, the Islamic Movement
members would start off a six-day mass trekking ritual
from Kano to Zaria on Sunday, December 7, to
commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, a
freedom fighter.
