Sasha & Malia Obama Viciously
Slammed As ‘Classless’ By GOP
Staffer

Yikes. A GOP staffer called out
President Obama’s teenage daughters and
their ‘classless’ attitudes and outfits
during Obama’s annual Thanksgiving
address. She even had some shocking
things to say about the president and First
Lady, too!
Elizabeth Lauten sparked huge outrage and media
discussion over the open letter she wrote to President
Obama ‘s daughters Malia Obama , 16, and Sasha
Obama, 13, after Obama’s annual Thanksgiving address on
Nov. 27. The former media director for the Republican
National Committee verbally attacked everything from
Malia and Sasha’s wardrobe choices to their seemingly
uninterested attitude during their father’s televised address.
Sasha & Malia Obama Dissed: Slammed By
GOP Staffer Elizabeth Lauten For Outfits
Elizabeth posted an open letter on her Facebook on Nov.
28 to the President’s daughters in response to an article she
read about Obama’s Thanksgiving address. She wrote:
Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re
both in those awful teen years, but you’re
a part of the First Family, try showing a
little class. At least respect the part you
play. Then again your mother and father
don’t respect their positions very much, or
the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing
you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good
role model’ department. Nevertheless,
stretch yourself. Rise to the occasion. Act
like being in the White House matters to
you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a
spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make
faces during televised public events.
Elizabeth was likely referencing the fact that Malia and
Sasha exchanged a few glances with each another during
the address, according to the Daily Mail . Elizabeth also
threw shade at the girls’ outfits of choice. Sasha was
dressed in a short maroon dress with a long white
cardigan, while Malia was dressed in a mini skirt with
tights and a sweater, which Elizabeth apparently thought
not to be very conservative. (We think the girls killed it
with their style!)

People were quick to call Elizabeth’s words
insulting, causing her to publicly apologize on Facebook on
Nov. 29. In the post she owned up to “quickly judging the
two young ladies” and said she did “hours of prayers” to
heal her of her rude actions. However, people still lashed
out at Elizabeth so she changed her account settings to
private and deleted her initial post.

Do you think
Elizabeth had a point even if her words were harsh or do
you think it was way wrong of her to say?
